An Antidote to Self-Doubt

It is easy to doubt ourselves if we fall into the trap of believing that the majority of people around us are so sure of themselves (or seemingly so). One after another, the avalanche of social media posts reflect lives of such fun, joy, optimism, confidence and friendship to contrast our own reality and often can lead to feelings of inadequacy and self- doubt. So what do we do? The answer is simple: we need to clearly reflect on and identify our moral compass. That compass, for which every decision and action springs, will keep us moving toward a life of coherence between who we are, what we believe and what we do. It is the surest antidote to self-doubt. Our moral compass guides our quest to a life full of meaning and relevance, one that is uniquely and authentically our own, not a copy of someone else’s life. Living coherently means living confidently in one's own truth. And there is nothing more powerful than that.
