So, why are women so underrepresented in leadership across all industries, both in the public and private sectors? In the U.S., why do more than half graduate with a college degree, enter the workforce and then don’t rise to the top-level positions? (Did you know that the U.S. ranks 76th in the world for women’s representation in political office?)

There are many reasons including gender expectations around family roles, lack of affordable childcare, exclusion from professional development networks and most important, bias, both conscious and unconscious.
